What pisses you off? What excites you? What scares you?
All of these things can cause fear in their own way.
Sometimes it is fear that this is it for us, we have peaked in life and it is downhill from here. Sometimes we know how to get to our success but we are afraid we will not be able to maintain it. And sometimes we do not believe in ourselves enough to give ourselves a shot at what we want and true happiness. All of these things boil down to the belief in our own potential. Most people believe they only have a certain amount of potential, that amount of potential decides what type of action you take, and the amount of action you take effects the belief you have in yourself and your potential.
Oh what a happy circle….right?
Well actually it can be!
Most of you saw the Instagram and Facebook post about “ What if we obsessed about all the things we loved about ourselves” this is similar. Instead of seeing, believing, thinking “ I am not good enough at (_______) “ or “ I could never do what she/he did” or “ I am not smart enough” or “ What if I try and fail?” IMAGINE your success. Imagine winning every time. Did you know there are studies that prove MIND EFFECTS PERFORMANCE? It is true! Think about it, close your eyes and…. (well maybe finish reading this and then close your eyes, it might work better. Haha.) Ok… think about a time when you were feeling down or bad about yourself, how did the day go? (Did you hit every red light? Was work stressful? Did you make a mistake at work that you would never usually make? Did you miss every shot at the net in soccer?) NOW think about a day you felt confident and happy, how did you day go? (Did everyone at work or school seem to be happy and extra friendly? Did you make the free throw in basketball no problem? Did you get to work with no red lights? )
*close your eyes and think*
I am certain I know the answer. Do you know why? Because not only have I and a billion other people been there, BUT it is a proven fact that your MIND EFFECTS PERFORMANCE, which not only means the end result but how you get there too!
So imagine success! Imagine getting that promotion, everyday. Imagine your business flourishing, everyday. Believe you can lose the weight and keep it off, everyday. Believe that you score that end goal, everyday! Obsess about your success! Since a lot of people do not like the word ‘obsess’ lets say dedicate yourself to your success.
What does success look like to you? How do you create success?
Lets take some action, together! The first thing you need to know is, you can change your potential. When you were born, no one decided for you that you were going to be a failure or a success; you create your own future. You can start by creating momentum. You can create momentum by creating a new ritual for yourself. Start small. What can you do weekly to create momentum towards your goal and success? Once you have accomplished a weekly ritual, what can you do daily?
Some ideas to add to your week (pick 1 at a time or come up with some personalized ideas):
•Cook 2 more meals a week (Instead of eating out)
•Go to yoga 1 time during the week
•Journal for 10 minutes 3 times a week
•Read 1 chapter of a book a week that will improve your mind or business
There are many things you can start doing to create momentum! Once you have accomplished this weekly ritual, try making daily rituals.
*Success comes from momentum. Rituals create momentum.*
This will change your life! Your life will start changing when you start to change the way you think about your potential and success. Your mind is so much stronger then you think, and it controls so much more then you know. Take 5 minutes everyday to think about that! Heck, take 1 minute everyday to think about that! We ALL have ONE MINUTE a day! If you forget, that’s ok. But if it is late at night before you go to bed and you think “ oh hey! I didn’t do that thing about thinking about how my mind is strong and controls so much more then I know… eh, I’ll do it tomorrow.” (hahaha) You have been there!! Don’t lie to me!! Just do it then! You may think that it doesn’t have as much effect at night because the day is done, but it does. So just do it. Take ONE minute. Take that minute to realize you have all the potential in the world. You can do whatever it is you want. You can be who ever you want. As long as you believe that you have the highest level of potential, you can create success in your life!
